Introductions & Salutations
I wasn’t sure how and where this new era of my life should be explained to all who choose to gift my thoughts a portion of your time. ( thank you for that by the way ) So I thought I’d start it like my Apostolic big brothers in Christ. ( No I am not claiming to be an Apostle. GOD FORBID IN JESUS NAME I put myself on a pedestal I have no qualifications for )
James Mosley, once known as James Maccabbe, now known as Manasseh Judah, ( the struggle is terrifyingly real ) a slave to Thee Master, His Highest, His Holy Highness, my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, the Redeemer of souls, the blessed lamb of God that was slain before Elohim uttered the words “Let There Be Light” my Lord was! Hallelujah amen!
Whelp now you know who my God is, and you should have a grasp of who I am. A once filthy, dirty, warlock locked in rebellion against the Most High God. Now holy, blameless and above reproach. If you didn’t get that from my intro then I’d suggest reading the story of… well honestly to really get it you should start with the story of Hezekiah. (2nd Kings chapter 18). That’s Manasseh’s dad. ( I was a preacher kid … ooooh… I get it I get it ) When done with Hezekiah’s story, read Manasseh’s (2nd Kings 21:1-18, 33:1-20). When I remembered Manasseh’s story I saw, felt, and thought his life and mine mirrored each others in spirit, and in action as sad, and amazing as that is. A father who lives a life of righteousness and obedience to God. While the son comes along and lives a life of Rebellion. Also to get the full understanding of what the Lord did for me & what He can do for you. You could read Colossians 1:22 to finish it up.
Wow that was a lot just for an intro! Well if you haven’t guessed I like to be clear. I like to be sure those I’m communicating with understand me. Not agree with me, ( tho I like that too:) ) but understand me.
So this is me saying Hi. I’m just starting out with this, and we’ll see how this goes.
For my first thought I’ll keep it simple.
TIME IS SHORT! We are moving toward the end game. It will become increasingly harder and harder for people to give their lives to Christ. Not because God has changed, but because the Holy Spirit I believe is working harder than ever. Probably the last time He pushed like this was in the days of Noah leading up to the flood. He is calling, pleading, to anyone, come!
And as a result of this, peoples negative response to the Lord’s pleading, His voice for them will become quieter and quieter. People will stray further and further away, which through that action, hardening their hearts. The devil meanwhile will tie any noose, any chain, and any weight. He will use these spiritually to hold any part of you. Even affecting, and attacking those around you, if it will get you to fall with him. I had more to say, but it seems it was too much. This is a blog, not a book. 🙂 Jesus loves you guys oh so much.
You’ve seen this passage many times, because it encapsulates everything about God, and His love for us.
John 3:16-21
16“For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life.
17For God did not send the Son into the world to judge and condemn the world [that is, to initiate the final judgment of the world], but that the world might be saved through Him.
18Whoever believes and has decided to trust in Him [as personal Savior and Lord] is not judged [for this one, there is no judgment, no rejection, no condemnation]; but the one who does not believe [and has decided to reject Him as personal Savior and Lord] is judged already [that one has been convicted and sentenced], because he has not believed and trusted in the name of the [One and] only begotten Son of God [the One who is truly unique, the only One of His kind, the One who alone can save him]. 19This is the judgment [that is, the cause for indictment, the test by which people are judged, the basis for the sentence]: the Light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil.
20For every wrongdoer hates the Light, and does not come to the Light [but shrinks from it] for fear that his [sinful, worthless] activities will be exposed and condemned.
21But whoever practices truth [and does what is right–morally, ethically, spiritually] comes to the Light, so that his works may be plainly shown to be what they are–accomplished in God [divinely prompted, done with God’s help, in dependence on Him].”
I hope this gets across God’s love for you, and His desire for your life. It’s not easy at times, and the struggle came be tough. The flesh and the devil will always have an angle. However by,
Reading the Word of God alone.
Praising His name alone.
Worshipping Him alone.
Singing songs to Him alone.
You can make it! That’s where our relationship lies.
Our Faith!
Our Hope!
Our Strength!
Be weak, don’t try and be strong and do it yourself. You will fail, over, and over again. (Take my word for it please.) Still the love of the Lord literally came and rescued me. (Psalm 107)
I didn’t, and still don’t want to let Him down. I was recently, spiritually attacked, and I was terrified. Was I going to fail Him again? Go the way of my sins again? Fight in my own power again?
I didn’t know what I was doing, I was filled with anxiety and lust. Oh so afraid I began to call out to Lord. I prayed, I sang, I worshiped Him, I read His word. Rinse/Repeat. I didn’t know if it was working. I just didn’t stop because that strong passionate feeling of lust was still on me.
I don’t remember how long it took. Some minutes or a few hours. I just remembered all of the sudden the lust started to leave me. I was shocked and amazed!
It worked! God’s word worked! This monster “sin immoral” was defeated by depending on the Lord. I now had a glimpse on how to stand on the Solid Rock.
Cultivate my relationship with the LORD in private. Witness His Love in public. Fight off my flesh and the evil one with His help and power.
In doing so my sins which so easily beset me can be conquered. I hope this helps a bit. God bless.
